Rashid Khan, the 18 year old Afghan is worth every buck of his 4 crore ipl bid.

First, have a glance at some of the records which he currently holds just being an 18 year old.

  • Only player to pick 5 wickets in a T20 international bowling just 2 overs.
  • He has the best bowling average at present in one day internationals.
  • He has the second best bowling strike rate in one day internationals.

Ever wondered that the Sunrisers hyderabad’s highest bid of 2017  is not worth it? If so, i would say your thoughts on the young lad are completely wrong.

There was a lot of excitement for the cricket-mad public of Afghanistan as two of their players were picked at the Indian Premier League auction. Their eighteen-year-old leg-spinner, Rashid Khan, is now being called the ‘million dollar’ baby by his teammates after Rashid was picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 4 crores on Monday.

He has all the variations which a complete leggie should possess. He has a swift leg cutter which rushes through the batsmen  and a googly which not many leg spinners can master.

The former Afghan skipper is quoted saying “His googly is difficult to pick and he fires it on target”

He is a go to bowler for the Afghans whenever they needed a wicket or two and quite surprisingly , he delivers all the time.

His ODI and T20 stats are as follows:

INNs: 22

WKTS: 47

AVG: 16.21

ECO: 4.10

BB: 6/43

INNs: 24

WKTS: 40

AVG: 13.82

ECO: 6.07

BB: 5/3

Rashid khan is currently in the form of his life. He has picked 10 wickets together in his last 2 ODIs and 8 wickets in his last 2 T20Is.
